Minutes of the Aug 16th meeting have been posted on the Board’s drive for review and not approved at this time.
Treasurer’s Report (Kostas Lazarides reporting)
- Current Balances as of 9/11/2022
- Checking: $13,240
- Savings: $28,819
- Our West Bend policy renewal was received. Total premiums went up $89 YoY
- Our annual report filing with the WI Dept. of Financial institutions is due at the end of this month.
- A YTD spend report was shared with the board. Expenditures continue to track favorably for the year.
Architectural Control Committee (ACC) Report (Larry Acker reporting)
- No new proposals have been received for review.
- ACC and the Board are assembling a list of homeowners in violation of rules.
Environmental Control Committee (ECC) Report (Nick Connor reporting)
- A biolog for the culvert near Lot 37 will be purchased using money left over from skipped lake treatments. The cost is $150 per log.
- Path was maintained by Legacy; however, the storms damaged newly repaired areas. ECC is proposing to make repairs in house.
- Rain gardens on the east side will be overseeded with flower seeds and grasses knocked down early next year to ensure the flowers take. The composition of the garden will change to include more flowers, but this process will take a few years to get new vegetation established.
- Stones will be added around the rain garden to hide the fabric in near future.
- Three trees have been purchased and will be delivered to replace the existing dead ones around the lake.
- ECC is investigating burning the phragmites mats at shoreline and planting sedges to help stabilize the shoreline.
- The board discussed running electrical to the shed or spending $600 to install a solar panel for power.
- The golf cart will need to be replaced in the near future. There is consideration of purchasing a more off road type vehicle.
- A razor rake will be purchased to help maintain the beaches.
- The delivery of the 2nd batch of smallmouth bass has been postponed and potentially canceled. ECC is looking to determine if they are still wanted, if predation has decreased the 1st batch or if habitat is not ideal for them.
- ECC and Board have submitted a Master Landscape plan to two landscapers.
Old Business
- Discussion held on the annual meeting and potential candidates. At the time of the meetings there were two open seats and no interested candidate.
- Ziarek gave an update and plans on the website
- The website will soon have forums available for homeowners to discuss various topics
- Nate will be adding analytics to the website to allow the Board to gauge interest in the website.
- So far feedback on the new website has been good.
New Business
- The Board was made aware of an unauthorized clearing along the shoreline. The Board, ECC and homeowner are working on corrective measures.
- The Board approved an increase in our current liability coverage to include board members, committee members (ECC, ACC, Social, etc.. and any homeowner who helps or volunteers at association events.
Next Board Meeting Date – TBD after the Annual meeting.
Annual meeting has been scheduled – October 15th (rain date 16th) at the tennis court.
