Board Meeting, May 2, 2023

The meeting was attended in person with Steve Fabry, Kostas Lazarides, Debbie Lambert, Pete Fantle, and Wendy Fisenne in attendance. Nate Ziarek was absent. The meeting was at Debbie Lambert’s home and called to order at 7:07 p.m. on May 2, 2023.

Secretary’s Report

  • Reading of the last meeting minutes was waived
  • Minutes from the March 8, 2023 meeting have been approved and posted to the website

Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

Debbie Lambert reporting

  • Approved projects; Lot 33 patio and retaining wall, lot 38 roof and driveway replacement
  • Lot 94 project continues
  • Light posts: 3 non-compliance letters sent
  • After visual inspection there are 10 other posts that are out of compliance due to missing glass, or leaning posts
  • ACC to send follow up letters
  • Replacement heads are available at BBC Lighting; 2015 W St Paul Ave; Milwaukee https://shopbbclighting.com/89025-12. This one comes with frosted glass and the homeowner will need to get clear glass cut at Les’ Glass at 10111 W Forest Home Ave or at the hardware store of their choice.
  • Reminder to all homeowners to notify the ACC of updates or changes to the exterior of your home

Environmental Control Committee (ECC)

Pete Fantle reporting

  • Volunteers to work May 6th on the common grounds
  • A dead tree is being evaluated…TBD
  • Mooring request by the storm drain
  • Shed inventory completed
  • Creating month to month task list for Radek
  • Picnic tables, volleyball net and tennis court nets to be placed shortly
  • Lake weed treatment will be done in May or June
  • Working on creation of a plan to address diseased trees and removal of dead trees

Old Business

  • Parking complaints are continuing to be addressed with the homeowner
  • Fishing passes will have lot numbers and be laminated on bright pink paper
  • Passes will be handed out upon request.
  • Contact Steve Fabry for a laminated fishing pass
  • All old passes are void and visitors who do not have a current pass will be asked to leave.
  • Reminder: homeowners are responsible for the actions of their guests. Failure to follow the rules and regulations could result in temporary suspension of your fishing pass
  • ECC in favor of Legacy for shoreline pruning, fall leaf clean-up on common grounds, cut back and remove vegetation that is not native or is rapid growing and replace with low maintenance plantings, and maintenance of gravel path
  • ECC is not in favor of Legacy doing beach sand and fall clean-up of leaves between the lake and the path
  • 2024 budget planning

New Business

  • Vote via email on 4-2-23 for the use of volunteers for work on the common grounds for one day. 4 in favor; 2 opposed
  • Continued discussion on 2024 ECC budget short and long term planning
  • Updating homeowner contact information and Association Directory. Homeowners will receive an email and follow up letter with directions on how to update their information.
  • The Board approved the 2023 budget
